The name of this bistro,
Léo le Lion, caught my eye as we were standing at the hotel desk one afternoon. Having an affinity for lions, I did some simple research and decided we would give it a shot.
After making a reservation for a decent hour this time, we strolled around the corner from our hotel into this quaintly decorated restaurant. This cosy retreat has a down-to-earth feel to it, with traditional furnishings accented with beautiful sconces and Tiffany-style lamps.
Our agreeable waiter was full of positive energy and added to our enjoyment.
All the food we ordered was delightful.

The prices were very reasonable given the high quality of the food, the service and the decor.

Even being accustomed to elaborately presented desserts, we were quite impressed with this molten chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream.
Being used to ordering a cheese plate in Vancouver and getting small chunks of three to five cheeses, we were quite startled to receive a huge platter of more than a dozen cheeses with the instruction to "go for it."
Needless to say, the assortment was tremendously satisfying.
