La Merenda

Dominique Le Stanc earned two Michelin stars when he was the chef of Le Chantecler restaurant in Nice. He quit to take over La Merenda. This restaurant came highly recommended from friends, and we had to give them a chance.

Since we weren't in the mood for meat that night, we went with the arugula, ricotta and fig salad, along with an order of stuffed sardines. Though the room was pretty rustic, with stools and communal tables, the exquisite food lived up to our exceedingly high expectations.
