Wood-Fired Pizza at Galiano Inn

>> Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Although we regularly make pizza at home, we rarely go out for pizza. When we tried the pizza at the Galiano Inn, we were hooked. We ended up eating here three times during our vacation.

Day 1

wild boar salami, confit shallot,
tomato, olives (without blue cheese)

roasted red peppers, zucchini,
artichokes and goat cheese

Day 2

We had to restrain ourselves from eating here even more.

roasted grape tomatoes, Vancouver island
buffalo mozzarella and basil

chorizo, chili and anchovies, bocconcini

Day 3

duck confit, spinach, shallots
and black truffle, grana padano
Every pizza we tried was excellent, the service exemplary and the beer cold.

proscuitto, wild bc mushroom,
grana podano, finished with fresh arugula

We agree! It was absolutely awesome. Favourite? hard to tell, but I think it's the tuna nicoise with REAL tuna.
