Thomas Haas Fine Chocolates & Pâtisserie
>> Tuesday, April 20, 2010
Another day, another pâtisserie. Ahhhh ... the sacrifices we make.
I met a friend at the Kitsilano Thomas Haas location, and we decided to share two exquisite looking pastries: a pear galette
and a sour-cherry turnover.
As we were licking our fingers, who but Thomas Haas himself pops around with a pretty plate of chocolates for sampling. This man loves his chocolate. He is buzzing around his shop as happy as a clam (or truffle?). It makes me giddy just thinking about it.
Not willing to face my sweetie empty-handed, I ordered a brioche to go.
Moist and airy, with the right amount of sweetness, it is the Audrey Hepburn of pastries: classic, fun and leaving you wanting more everyday.
This place is great for meeting a special friend, buying a gift to show someone you love them, or just to indulge yourself.
And don't forget to pick up some Chocolate Sparkle cookies.

I love this place... How did you NOT manage to grab a chocolate treat?
