Using just the ingredients we had on hand, we made this nice sweet and sour cocktail. Be sure to watch the grenadine measurement; otherwise you may find the drink too sweet.

  • 2 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • 1 1/2 oz rye whisky
  • 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grenadine
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Serve in a cocktail glass.
