DOW: Hell's Gate Brewing

Hell's Gate Brewing was established in 2008, and the brewery is currently located in Delta, near Vancouver. I was at the packy last night, and there was a promotion for their two beers, a pale ale and a lager. I forewent the tasting and simply brought home a six-pack of each.

I am in no way a beer gourmet. I can tell the hops level of a beer, but that's about it.

The lager is quite flavourful, with a pale straw colour common to lagers.

I preferred the pale ale, an amber-coloured ale, with a medium hoppiness.

If you're wondering where the name came from, it's in honour of the 35m narrowing of the Fraser River, near Boston Bar.
